Ancaster Heritage Days weekend festivities kick off with Family Movie Night at Fieldcote Memorial Park by the bandshell Friday June 13th, 2014!The feature film begins at 9:30 PM (dusk). The event will also feature two food trucks to enjoy throughout the evening. Be sure to bring a blanket or tarp if you plan on sitting on the grass.

We are delighted to have the wonderful Ancaster Film Fest present a great movie and to have Village Eyecare Optometrists sponsor the event. This year’s feature film is E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial!

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (often referred to simply as E.T.) is a 1982 American science fiction film co-produced and directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Melissa Mathison, starring Henry Thomas, Dee Wallace, Robert MacNaughton, Drew Barrymore, and Peter Coyote. It tells the story of Elliott (played by Thomas), a lonely boy who befriends an extraterrestrial, dubbed “E.T.”, who is stranded on Earth. Elliott and his siblings help the extraterrestrial return home while attempting to keep it hidden from their mother and the government.
