The Ancaster Horticultural Society Seeking Volunteers for Clean-up Day at Fieldcote
I know it does not yet feel like Spring but, lets hope by clean-up day it will. The Ancaster Horticultural Society is seeking volunteers for their Annual Clean-up Day at Fieldcote Memorial Park & Museum gardens, 64 Sulphur Springs Road in Ancaster. This event will be held on Saturday April 18th, 2015 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm (rain or shine). Each year the award winning, pesticide free gardens are tended by a dedicated group of volunteers who need your help to pick up the winter debris, pull garlic mustard and spread wood-chips to prepare the grounds for planting and all the community activities & entertainment such as summertime concerts, workshops and/or exhibits.
If you are able to help please wear appropriate clothing, bring gardening gloves, rakes and/or gardening tools that may be useful (labelled with your name to avoid mix-ups). Some tools will be available for use.
Any students seeking to add volunteer hours to their high school community involvement may request a signed letter (indicating hours worked) from one of the Society’s Directors.
Refreshments will be provided.
