The Ancaster Food Drive is held every February to support Food Banks at a time when donations have slowed down yet the demand for food is high. This is a crucial event which helps them keep their shelves full through to the Spring time.  Since the beginning of the Food Drive over 1.2 million pounds of food has been collected with 2013 Food Drive collecting 82,500 pounds of food and $6500.00.

The success of the program relies of volunteers like you!

If you can spare a couple of hours your help is needed in the following areas:

  • Deliver Flyers on Saturday February 15th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am
  • Help collect and sort the food on Saturday February 22nd 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Load the trucks on Monday February 24th starting at 8:00 am.

On Saturday February 15th, 2014 volunteers will be going door to door delivering flyers that will inform Ancaster Residents about the 2014 Food Drive.

On Saturday February 22nd volunteers will return door to door to collect the non-perishable food donations that Residents have left on their  porches, between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, which will support your City of Hamilton.

The food collected will be delivered to the following organizations

Donations can also be dropped off at Ancaster’s two Fire Halls starting Monday February 17th to Saturday February 22nd, 2014.
